“Kotodama” is a Japanese word meaning something like “spirit of the spoken word”. In esoteric or religious traditions we often hear about the “Lost word” and people imagine it is a special sound or as a combination of special sounds. I think it’s a misunderstanding because we did not loose a special, magical word ; we only forgot that thoughts and language are the creative power… Remember John : Before the world was created, the Word already existed; he was with God, and he was the same as God”. This is “Kotodama”…Learn to use it wisely.

    hi,
i checked your blog ’cause i read your letter in the “awakenings” newsletter…
just recently a japanese person told me that they don’t need a “new” religion, on the contrary they should cling to “tradition” in order to overcome the present “decline”. Have you already thought about a way to outdo (i know…wrong choice of words) this distrustful attitude?
and a little thing that bothers me…i study the religious science’ textbooks by myself (i live in italy)..and i can’t help to be troubled by the “copyright” applied to the “Science of Mind” definition and doctrine…is only a problem of mine.. or is someone else perplexed by this?

  2. Hi Fabrizio
welcome here. I believe Science of Mind and almost all spiritual teachings are about taking 100% responsibility for your world. So the opinion of this Japanese person belongs only to her and I do not need to be affected by it nor judge it distrustful.Other Japanese people read my books and come to my workshops and I then do my best to give them the tools they need.
The same about the “copyright” of the “Science of Mind”.Why would I need to think of it as a personal “problem”? To my point of view, Science of Mind is not about “creating” problems, it is about reminding us our true nature…Let’s solve our own life issues and let the universe and the Law to their own business…Blessings.

many thanks for your kind answer.
From what you wrote, it seems that SOM is not your business. Well..incidentally..i understand what you mean, and i can say that i agree. I just don’t think that opinions are “problems”, though, but i can blame only myself for having used this word (problem) in my first message.
    best wishes..

  4. Dear Fabrizio
I am a great fan of E. Holmes and the S0M, but I feel that thinking about the copyrights of the name Is not part of my life objectives, I am much more interested in using what I learn to bring harmony in my own life and as a side effect in the life of people in contact with me…Blessings.
